Since I don't know this piwik stuff, I can't answer you that question, maybe someone else can. piwik would need an API where we can grab the data from, and it would need to have a similar performance as accessing the db.
I'm not sure what an mod author would do with OS usage and screen res data. There are only a handful of mods not being cross-platform compatible.
For mod suggestion, again, I leave the answer to someone else, I don't know how piwik works, what we collect and what it is capable of.
